Driveway Sealcoating – Seal coating is an emulsion made of components that are resistant to oil, gas, road salt and other chemicals, and UV radiation, according to the Pavecoat website. The emulsion is applied manually by spraying or with a squeegee over the entire asphalt surface. The coating must then heal without being disturbed by vehicle traffic or pedestrian traffic. Where appropriate, the striping is done during the curing period. After 24 hours, the sealing layer is ready for use.
